Flying is a particular application of the “Bernoulii Principal”.  The air foil is the instrument.  The top side of the air foil is curved and the bottom side of the air foil is straight.  As the air foil moves through the air the air on the top of foil is forced to move faster than the air on the bottom of the foil because the curve side is longer, this in turn decreases the pressure on the top of the foil and increases the pressure on the bottom side of the foil and this in turn produces “lift”.  The beauty is truly in the details.
